Fall Happenings

Happy soon to be fall everyone!

The season is full of change, and I am excited to share both big and small developments.

To begin with, my partner Chad and I would love for you to join us in welcoming our new daughter to the planet, Freya Jean Violet Anderson! She was born on August 7th, at 11:30 pm a healthy 6.5 pounds and 19.5 inches. Every day she seems to change as she learns to thrive and grow. It is truly a wonderful blessing to be a mother and a witness to her awakening!

I will be returning to teach my regular Tuesday night and Saturday morning classes on October 1st. Big love and thanks to AJ, Melissa, and Margaret for covering my classes and sharing new techniques and insights with everyone.

This weekend Jessica Blanchard and I begin our second Balance Yoga Teacher Training. We are delighted to be ushering in a new group of enthusiastic attendees. I will be teaching the Saturday morning Align and Refine class from 9:30-11 this weekend Please join us if you are free! If you are curious about the Teacher Training offering you can review the schedule and curriculum here. It may be a little late to sign-up now, but it might be useful information for a future training.

Speaking of Teacher Training...The graduates of the 2015-2016 Balance Yoga Teacher Training are spreading their wings and growing as teachers. Jessica and I have both decided to offer Apprenticeship follow-up opportunities for these graduates. I will be focusing the apprenticeship on Anusara style teaching and practice. If you are a graduate of our program and are interested in deepening your personal practice and teaching skills of alignment-based hatha yoga then this may be an opportunity for you. Stay tuned for more details from me in early October.

As the seasons begin to change so do our immune systems. It is a perfect time to learn about essential oils and how you can use them to not only strengthen you and your families immunity, but also enjoy their effects in your yoga practice and household. I am thrilled to announce that I will be introducing Doterra Essential Oils education classes and products to Balance beginning in October 2016.

Lastly, it is with great excitement that I anticipate Rocky Heron's visit for a wild, playful, and music filled weekend workshop at Reyn this October! This year I am facilitating many wonderful national and international guest teachers to New Orleans to open up our experiences and help us all grow in our practice. Rocky is the first arrival. Book your spot now from October 21st-23rd here. Join me, I would love your company in practice.

Thank you all for your time and your practice. Your reflections in the studio and on the mats are truly inspiring visions!

As always, practice with love, kindness, and delight!
